Case Study
A DIGITAL RESET FOR MACLEAY VALLEY SUPPORT SERVICES
From clunky to clear
The harsh reality
Macleay Valley Support Services provides vital care in the disability and aged care space, but their digital presence wasn't reflecting that. When Caroline joined the team, she inherited a Wix website that was, quite frankly, a mess. It was clunky, dated, and doing nothing to support the word of mouth referrals the business relies on.
The management team was understandably sceptical. They were hesitant to invest in a new website because the current one was performing so poorly. It’s a classic trap. Being stuck with a tool that doesn't work because you don't believe a better one exists.
To make matters worse, the website was failing at the one thing a disability service provider cannot compromise on - accessibility.
- It wasn't functional
- It wasn't clear
And the technical setup with Wix meant their domain was held hostage. It was time for a clean break.
The strategic shift
We didn't just want to build a pretty website. We needed to build a tool that worked for the people who actually use it. We focused on our core value:
think creatively, act strategically.
We kept the copy that worked but wrapped it in a brand new, professional structure. We focused on a clean, three-service layout that made it easy for families to find exactly what they needed without the headache.
Accessibility first
In this sector, accessibility is a non-negotiable. We ditched the clutter and focused on a "super functional" layout. That meant obvious buttons, high-contrast text, and making sure their phone number was front and foremost.
The "call us" strategy
We knew their primary goal was to get the phone ringing. Every design choice was made to lead the user toward that one specific action.
Ditching the feed
We replaced a messy embedded Instagram feed with a dedicated Blog and News section. This isn't just better for the eyes. It’s a powerhouse move for their local SEO.
The technical escape
We managed the migration away from Wix to a high-performance Siteground environment. It’s the kind of behind the scenes work that removes the "overwhelm" for our clients.
Visual clarity
Macleay’s light blue and pink add warmth, but they wash out fast without an anchor. We balanced the palette with bold high contrast typography and generous white space. By making pink the dedicated action colour, we’ve ensured the path to contact is obvious for everyone. It’s proof that you don't have to sacrifice a brand’s soul for accessibility.
No more guesswork
Nobody should have to navigate a digital maze to find care. We stripped the noise to ensure the next step is always obvious. By prioritising large buttons and a front-and-center phone number, we’ve removed the friction for families under pressure. The website should do the work, not the user.
Care first
Support workers and families are usually out in the community, not stuck behind a desk. We built this website to be fast and fluid on a phone first. Whether they’re checking details on the fly or sitting at a laptop, the experience stays polished and reliable.

The win
The result is a website that finally matches the quality of care Macleay Valley Support Services provides. Management has moved from being sceptical to seeing the value of a polished digital presence. They’ve even signed up for a monthly care plan to ensure their website stays healthy and secure while they focus on their participants.
| Feature | The Old Wix Website | The New She Rocks Website |
| User Experience | Clunky + confusing | Super clear + accessible |
| Main Goal | Unclear | Direct phone call focus |

In Caroline's words

What's next
We aren’t the type of boutique digital marketing agency that builds a website and then disappears. In the disability and aged care sectors, digital reliability is essential. We’ve moved Macleay Valley Support Services onto a monthly care plan so we can manage the security and updates in the background while they focus on their participants.
We build it. You own it.
Beyond technical health, the next step is to build local authority. We don't believe in gatekeeping. We’re all about empowering our clients to take the lead where they want to. If the team decides to manage their own blog and news updates, we’ll be right there with the training and SEO strategy they need to ensure those community stories are actually seen. We’ve built a solid foundation, and now we're making sure it stays that way.
Stop settling for a clunky website
Your website should be your hardest working team member, not a hurdle for your customers or clients or a headache for you. Let’s look at your strategy and build something clear, functional, and actually ready to perform.
